Narrowing Wide Nose Through Rhinoplasty

If you want to narrow a wide nose through rhinoplasty, you may need to undergo a procedure known as rhinoplasty. The process involves breaking the nose’s bridge and upper portion and reconstructing it. The result is a narrower and more beautiful nose. Bruising and swelling are common after the procedure, but they should disappear in a few weeks. Your doctor will explain what to expect during your recovery.

Depending on the procedure performed, patients may need to take several weeks off work. Following the surgery, the surgeon may recommend dietary changes and stop smoking, as well as a few days of physical activity. However, the recovery process will depend on the type of rhinoplasty performed. To ensure that your recovery is quick and comfortable, the plastic surgeon will provide instructions on how to prepare for the procedure.

Patients from different ethnic backgrounds undergo nose surgery to change the shape of their nose. During the procedure, surgeons use filler to correct the wideness and make the nose appear more appealing. This method is more effective for narrowing a wide, rounded nose. The surgeon uses a general anesthetic to prevent undue anxiety. During the open rhinoplasty, the amount of bone and cartilage revision is outlined during the procedure. This varies from patient to patient.

The goal of rhinoplasty is to improve the look of the nose. The best candidates for the procedure are those with a healthy general health and no systemic conditions. They should also be willing to follow the post-operative instructions closely. They should have realistic expectations. This will help improve their satisfaction with the results of the procedure. Then, they can follow the post-operative care guidelines that their plastic surgeon will give them.

If you have a wide or asymmetrical nose, you might want to narrow it. This is a permanent procedure that is not recommended for everyone. You will need to have a general anesthetic before the surgery, so you will not feel any discomfort. You should have no functional problems, or you might want to narrow the wide area around the nose. Your rhinoplasty surgeon will have to reshape the nasal bone and cartilage to correct the problem.

Before the procedure, you should be completely honest with your Seattle cosmetic surgeon. You should be honest about your goals and expectations so that your surgeon can give you the best results possible. If you want to narrow your nose through rhinoplasty, you should be realistic with your doctor. They may recommend other related procedures as well. These procedures may include cosmetic traditional rhinoplasty, septoplasty, and other medically necessary procedures.

On so many occasions what we do is we’ll narrow the nasal bones with osteotomy that’s making cuts in the nasal bones themselves and then just narrowing them in a tripod fashion and then the corresponding upper lateral cartilage is also getting narrowed and then we can narrow wide nostrils as well that’s called an alarplasty procedure that involves some little incisions right at the nostril sill right here to narrow wide nostrils to narrow the wide nose we usually are performing a hump removal first the hump is shaved down off the top of the bridge and then the nasal bones themselves have to be narrowed to prevent an open roof flattop nasal deformities we have to narrow the nasal bones and the corresponding upper lateral cartilages in the mid portion of the nose otherwise the nose will be out of balance.

Wide nasal bones can be narrowed with osteotomies during a rhinoplasty treatment. The osteotomies narrow the entire bridge line, which is made up of the wide nasal bones and their corresponding large upper lateral cartilages, from their previous wider position. Following the medial and lateral osteotomies in the nasal bones, a cast is placed across the bridge of the nose and left in place for one week. Expect 2 weeks of obvious bruising and swelling as a result of the surgery. The sutures used in closed rhinoplasty on the inside of the nose are completely dissolvable. It’s also crucial to make sure the tip of the nose is balanced with the new bridge line, thus tip surgery may be necessary in some cases. The nasal tip can be narrowed by conservative cartilage removal or suture procedures called intra-domal or inter-domal sutures. All of the nasal components, including the nasal bones, upper lateral cartilages, and lower lateral cartilages of the nasal tip, must be in equilibrium with one another. An alar-plasty is needed to narrow wide nostrils, which can be done with an incision at the base of the nostril sill for very wide nostrils or an interior incision for minor narrowing. The alar-plasty incision is frequently closed with two types of sutures: dissolvable sutures to hold the incision together beneath the skin and a thorough skin layered closure to ensure that the incision heals invisibly.
