The Seattle Asian Art Museum is a museum of Asian art located at 1400 E Prospect St, Seattle, WA 98112. The museum features both historic and contemporary artworks from Asia. There are several locations of the Seattle Asian Art Museum. The Museum started in 1906 as the Seattle Fine Arts Society and held exhibitions in different locations around Seattle. It was renamed in 1929 and searched for a permanent home. In 1935, a $250,000 gift enabled the organization to build a new building in Capitol Hill Volunteer Park, which is now the site of the current museum. While the museum has several locations, most of its exhibits are housed in its main gallery.

The Museum also reopened after undergoing a $56 million renovation. The museum is now scheduled to open to the public on February 7, 2020, and will be closed for the remainder of 2019.
